Hello, I am Jack from Malaysia, a 22-year-old Digital Media, PR & Advertising student based in London, UK!
Malaysia, a small country that might be unfamiliar to others, but it is a home that has stuck with me for over 18 years. I am from Kampar, where I grew up, a home inside the big home (the whole country), and a not-too-big and not-too-small town located in Perak, Malaysia. I love the food that I have eaten since I was small until it became a routine, I love the people and families I meet daily, who give me a lot of adorable memories, and I love everything implicated between me and this town.
I started my new life in London in 2021. The time after I graduated from high school and struggled during a gap year due to the pandemic. However, London was not too strange for me during the new beginning of life because I always visited my family in London roughly once every two years. But moving here is totally a different experience for me physically and mentally.
As an ‘Otaku’, I like to spent my time on adventuring with Anime and Manga (Japanese animation and comic). My world could not establish without the existence of these two things (exaggeration).
I enjoy Given, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Bungo Stray Dogs, Violet Evergarden, Mob Psycho 100, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Oshi no Ko, Digimon, Undead Unluck, 86 Eight Six… and the list still goes on.
I have anime and manga lists that can help me survive the end of the world… and I am only showing my anime list.
And of course I will go out… for anime and manga related events.
Because of the obsession with anime and manga, undoubtedly, I will collect a lot of merch.

APART FROM ANIME AND MANGA?!
Games.
Yeah, I am an ordinary and boring person.
Tower of Saviors, Honor of Kings, some RPG, narrative games, etc.
Music.
Life could not live without music, isn’t?
Mostly anime songs and K-Pop (Red Velvet and BLACKPINK are the best). But I also do prefer some symphony, jazz and J-rock.
Something that are interested to do (not related to ambition)
You definitely have something you’d love to enjoy outside of your path.
Kyūdō, rock band, and concert band/symphony orchestra.
SO ON… (I do not fully know about myself)
Why Media?
Last but not least, why media? Let’s go back to my past.
During my primary and secondary school years, I unconsciously started to contact with media – creating graphic media content for my favourite games and TV shows. I began to explore graphic designing because of this, and even now, I still enjoy doing it, although the skill still needs to be mature enough. However, I still hadn’t completely discovered my interest in the media field then; I only knew that I enjoyed image editing, but when I chose Creative Media Production during my college years, which initially aimed for a filmmaking pathway (because I love watching films during that time), I found out that I am interested in creating media content for marketing, branding, promotion, etc. more than filmmaking. So, I finally decided to choose Digital Media, PR, and Advertising as my pathway in university, which I believe will help me toward the path I desire.
Because of my passion for anime and manga, I desperately wish to work in the digital media field in the anime and manga industry, especially in marketing, branding and promoting. Using my profession combined with the things I like is the thing I wish to do. If I could have the opportunity to learn animation and visual effects skills in the future, I would like to challenge taking part in making animation as well!
Ultimately, I would like to mention that I always post a lot of anime and manga content on my social media accounts, primarily my thoughts after watching and reading them, because why not (if possible, I hope that it could help me with copywriting and analysing skills).
