Hello everyone,
My full name is Jiacheng Huang, but you can call me Jackson as it sounds similar to my Chinese name. I’m from Jiangxi, a province in southern China,

though I currently study at university in Beijing. I’m a junior this year and here on a one-semester exchange program.
I’m not someone with grand ambitions, and I wouldn’t say I’m deeply passionate about any particular field, but I do have a few interests. I love exploring new cities (traveling),
enjoying live music (going to concerts),
and of course, trying different foods. If any of these interests resonate with you, I’d be happy😊 to connect.
Back home, I study translation, but here I’ve chosen to explore digital media. There are a few reasons for this:
- The translation program between Chinese and English isn’t offered at the undergraduate level here.
- I’ve already been exposed to a variety of humanities subjects back in China, such as history, sociology, international relations, and linguistics, but I knew very little about digital media, so I thought I’d give it a try.
- Lastly, I believe digital media has become deeply integrated into many aspects of daily life, and gaining a professional understanding of it could benefit me in my studies, life, and even future career choices.
