Hi! My name is Emma Vaca, and I am a third year Media and Cultural studies major in my hometown in California. I was born and raised in the Inland Empire (about an hour away from Los Angeles, California) to two Mexican immigrant parents. I am Mexican-American and am fully bilingual, as spanish was actually my first language! I have a younger brother who is obsessed with futbol, so I enjoy watching games with him and my Dad. I mainly love to read and make short form videos and have a very active imagination I’m told. My favorite things to do back home include going to Disneyland with my loved ones, and stopping at In n Out on the way home. Disneyland has always held a special place in my families heart, and it is the thing I miss the most about home. I am very passionate about my love for California specifically, but I am very excited to be in London, and experience new things and create lasting memories. My favorite part so far has been trying Squashies, and I am currently obsessed! I’ve eaten a full bag in the past two days and am already planning my next trip to Sainsbury’s to buy more.
