Heyaaaaa! I am a 21 years old sophomore majoring in Digital Media, you can call me Giselle. Of course, if you want to challenge yourself with my Chinese name, you can call me Junqing Zhang as well (:D which might be a little difficult to pronounce). I am an international student from China, not from a big city like Beijing or Shanghai, instead, I come from a small, peaceful town. ᐠ(ᐛ)ᐟᐠ(ᐖ)ᐟ
After thinking carefully about my interests, I realized that traveling probably is my greatest passion. In the past, I used to think of travel as just a superficial experience, but once I started traveling by my own, my perspective completely changed.Making tips, finding information, and watching videos shared by other solo travelers gave me a whole new understanding of what travel can be. During my journeys, I’ve met many new friends from around the world. Although we may never see each other again, we stay connected through social media, and this cross-cultural exchange and sharing have made me appreciate the power and significance of digital media.
- I guess this is the charm of digital media, which not only gives me the opportunity to record and share my experiences, but also helps me connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Perhaps because of these experiences, I decided to choose digital media as my major. I want to interact with the world through these platforms and explore its unlimited potential in various fields.
(●’◡’●)I am someone who loves to explore and constantly seeks new experiences! Although I don’t have many hobbies, playing mahjong is definitely one of them.Whenever I go back to China, I play mahjong with my friends almost every day, from day to night, and sometimes even until the sun rise. This has truly become one of my favorite activities. I’m also quite fascinated by sports like boxing, taekwondo, and kendo, the feeling of throwing punches allows me to find a new way to release my energy. These activities may seem different, but they keep me energised and looking forward to life.
Since coming to the UK, I’ve also become unexpectedly addicted to strolling in parks. When the weather is nice I often go for a walk in the park alone, sitting on a bench and watching the sunset. I feel like an old person enjoying peaceful moments. Who would have thought that someone who used to love staying up late would find such new joy in this peaceful green space.
I am so happy and honour to have met everyone in my class, whose company and sharing have enriched my experience of life. I hope we can all shine in the fields we love ❤
